Ferlatte Extended Through 2027–28 Season

STRATHROY, ON — The Strathroy Rockets have announced that ownership has extended the contract of General Manager and Governor Andrew Ferlatte through the 2027–28 GOHL season.

The extension comes following a season that marked significant progress both on and off the ice, as the Rockets continued to move their rebuild ahead of schedule. The club finished 6th in the GOHL Western Conference and returned to playoff contention, establishing a strong foundation built on culture, accountability, and a development-first approach.

On the ice, key acquisitions including Eddie Hickson, Shane Neusteter, and Quinn Gavin-White played an important role in elevating the team’s performance down the stretch. The additions helped solidify the roster while reinforcing the organization’s commitment to long-term player development.

Off the ice, the Rockets remained deeply committed to the Strathroy-Caradoc community. Through various initiatives and partnerships, the organization donated over $10,000 this past season, further strengthening its connection to the community it represents.

Ferlatte reflected on the extension with gratitude while emphasizing the work still ahead.

“We’ve taken important steps forward, but there’s still a lot of work to do. Our focus remains on continuing to build within the community, advancing our players to the next level, and taking another step competitively. We believe in what we’re building here, and we’re just getting started.”

With the extension in place, the Rockets will continue to build on their momentum heading into the 2026–27 season, with a focus on sustained growth, increased player advancement, and deeper playoff success.

The foundation established this past season positions the Strathroy Rockets for continued progress—both on the ice and in the community.
